Play Cool

Hello Everyone! The other night I went to a play down on Navy Pier. What I love about plays are that they, like drawing, use story and imagery to challenge certain ideas, whether it be society or life in general. Fashion when played with can capture this same challenging power over the viewer. Fashion is an amazing way to express oneself as you can play with it to question, create, and embody a place in time or something you simply want to convey. Plays also happen to be on the fancier side so I went for a fun luxurious look that captured what to me plays are all about: dressing up to take a different look on society! This means faux fur and crystals but in bomber jacket form. In this shoot I walked along the bridge and in a street art tunnel on my way to the play. I love so many forms of the arts because they play with your mind just enough to get you thinking in an entirely different way! Enjoy!

xoxo,

Cecilia Roses

The drawing below is of Super Model icon Cara Delevingne from the cover of Vogue’s September Issue. Cara Delevingne is a true visionary as she did not only appear in almost every fashion show these past fashion weeks but has also taken on the role of the face of so many brands. She is the Topshop generation girl, the star of British luxury brands Burberry and Mulberry, in a new perfume campaign alongside Kate Moss, and designer of her own backpack collection. She is the model who is seriously doing it all from her killer street style and hilarious videos to walking hand in hand with fashion icon Karl Lagerfeld himself in the most anticipated show of the season – the Chanel show in Paris.
