Hello Everyone! Summer has just begun and I am already on my first travel of the summer. I am in Annapolis, Maryland and the water is gorgeous! The docks are strung with huge sailboats all in rows. The docks have that sea green tinge to them and the little shops in town are filled with ice cream lovers. Annapolis is one of those spots that is and feels very nautical. Now as we all know there are whole collections that designers put out each year for those nautical seekers and although throughout the next couple of weeks you will see me clad in every nautical touch there is, I went for a nautical twist. Now, you might be asking yourself, I have never heard such a thing. And I will simply explain that you are ever so right because I made it up. So, a nautical twist… this summer’s style has been a lot of tribal patterns intertwined with tropical getaway. Nautical twist is simply my version of combining my two favorite summer trends and getting something along the lines of Tribal Tropical gone nautical. Enjoy!
My Look: Ralph Lauren dress, Art Effect hat, Jeffrey Campbell shoes, locket, Art Effect beaded bracelet, lake Tahoe bracelet, vintage earrings, and to finish off my look Micromega sunglasses (these sunglasses I picked up at their shop in Italy- I met the designer himself and what he is able to do in the world of glasses is simply incredible!)
I made some more drawings! These are more iconic in their feel with the blocking technique to section off parts of the face. I have a love for fashion books and so I have been drawing some of the images in those! In the next couple posts you will get a taste of my own designs!!
