Hello Everyone! I came to Texas not just for the killer style and great food but for the Formula 1 American Grand Prix at the Circuit of the Americas. Formula 1 is one of the most popular sports around the globe. On race day, people from Spain, Mexico, Italy, France, Finland, the UK, and Japan come to cheer on their favorite drivers. The atmosphere is ecstatic. As the first couple of Porsche and Ferrari races are underway, celebrities are flying in by helicopter to meet the top drivers before they begin the race. Everyone is clad in Red Bull, Ferrari, and Mercedes Petronas patched jackets, shirts, and hats. I, however, dressed for the very sport itself! (Although I cheered for race winner Lewis Hamilton.) For the race, I wore my Kate Spade Monaco collection based upon Formula 1: blouse, bangle, and, to top it off, racing visor. All the cars are amazing to watch. They are the fastest cars in the world, and they are simply beautiful. The cars not only sophisticated by design, but embody and utilize aerodynamics in the hopes of getting to the top podium at the end of the race. Fashion, as with Formula 1 cars, is meant to look beautiful and awe inspiring. The Formula 1 event at the Circuit of the Americas celebrates design as one of the forefronts of culture and innovation. Good luck to Lewis Hamilton in the final race of the Formula 1 racing season!
